Dr. Qin has published nearly twenty peer-reviewed articles as lead or corresponding author in leading domestic and international journals, including Journal of Quantitative & Technical Economics, Chinese Rural Economy, China Soft Science, China Economic Review, Applied Energy, and Energy. He has authored or co-authored two scholarly monographs. More than ten of his policy reports have been endorsed by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council; nearly ten have received affirmative written instructions from vice-ministerial-level leaders such as the Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, the Director of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, and members of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. In total, over thirty policy briefs have been adopted. His think-tank research won the 2024 First Prize for Outstanding Think-Tank Achievements from CTTI (Chinese Think Tank Index), Nanjing University.

He has led or participated in multiple projects granted by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education’s Humanities and Social Sciences Research Program, the Sichuan Provincial Social Science Foundation, and the Sichuan Department of Science & Technology. One of his teaching cases has been accepted into the Ivey Case Collection. He has supervised students in producing more than ten Category-A outputs—journal articles and adopted policy briefs—and his students have received numerous national and provincial honors.
