Qingen Gai

Qingen Gai is a Professor at the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He obtained his Ph.D from The Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2013. His primary research interests lie in Chinese Economy and Development economics, with a particular focus on misallocation and development in rural China. His research spans a variety of topics, including labor migration, land allocation and agriculture production. His work has been published at leading peer-reviewed journals, including Econometrica, Singapore Economic Review, Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, China Agricultural Economic Review, Land Use Policy, and Review of Development economics.
