Xiuping Hua

Professor Xiuping Hua is currently a Professor of Finance at Nottingham University Business School China, Director of UNNC-NFTZ Blockchain Laboratory, Executive Deputy Director of Centre for New Structural Economics at University of Nottingham Ningbo China, and Secretary-General for Centre for Inclusive Finance at People’s Bank of China Ningbo Branch and University of Nottingham Ningbo China.

She is the member of 15th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of Ningbo Municipal Government, the Independent Director for two listed companies (Shenzhen Topband and Mango Media) one commercial bank (Donguan Bank), and was previously the part-time partner and vice president of Ningbo’s largest venture capital firm, Junrun Capital. She was also selected as a Research Leader of Ningbo City by Ningbo Municipal Government, a Financial Research Leader in Philosophy and Social Science by Ningbo Academy of Social Science, and a Young- and Middle-aged University Academic Leader by the Zhejiang Provincial Government. She obtained her PhD degree in Finance from the University of Sheffield Management School (UK). Prof. Hua’s interests include asset pricing, corporate finance, derivatives, financial technology, innovation finance, and inclusive finance.

She has published articles in both academic journals and practitioners, such as the Journal of International Money and Finance, the European Journal of Finance, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Journal of Association for Information Systems, Business History, International Business Review, Research in International Business and Finance, Economic Modelling, Economic Research (Jingji Yanjiu), Financial Research (Jinrong Yanjiu), China Daily, Peking University Business Review, and so on. She has also worked as Principal Investigators for many research grants or consultancy programs of domestic and international governments, research institutes, universities, companies and financial organizations.
