George Alessandria

George Alessandria

George Alessandria is Professor of Economics and Chair of the Economics Department at the University of Rochester. Prior to joining Rochester, George was a Senior Policy Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. He is on the advisory council of the Carnegie-Rochester-NYU Conference on Public Policy, editorial board of the Journal of Monetary Economics, and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He holds a PhD in Economics from The University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Duke University. His research interests include international trade, international finance, and macroeconomics.
