Shaghil Ahmed
Shaghil Ahmed is a Senior Associate Director in the International Finance Division of the Board of Governors of the Federal System in Washington D.C. Prior to that he served as the Federal Reserve Board’s China analyst and then as Chief of the Emerging Market Economies section. In the past, he has also held academic appointments at the Pennsylvania State University, UCLA, and Brown University. He obtained a B.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rochester. He has published in several reputable economics journals, including American Economic Review, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, and Review of Economics and Statistics.
